Ten Years in the Making
Ten years ago, on a cold February morning, Luke and I loaded our car with baskets of freshly made natural soap and drove to Greenwich market to set up our very first stall. The excitement, the anticipation, the crisp winter’s air … I still remember like it was yesterday.
We nervously set up the stand, then Luke left me to it. ‘You will be fine’ he smiled encouragingly and walked away. I was all set up and ready for my first customers! The first few hours were cold and very quiet. I slowly lost my excitement and began to worry that this was a mistake.
But then, a few hours later ( which felt like a lifetime), I had my very first customer! What a relief! I rang Luke straight away to share the good news: ‘Someone just bought a bath bomb!’ I said delightedly and Valentte was on its way!
